EDC stands for everyday carry. The phrase covers the small kit most people refine over years — a wallet, a knife, a flashlight, maybe a pen, and (if you know what you’re doing) a hank.
So what is a hank?
A hank is a small handkerchief, usually 8" × 8", carried in your back pocket or kit bag. It’s the most-used item in any thoughtful EDC loadout because it solves problems other gear can’t:

- Blade wipes for cleaning your EDC knife after opening a box, slicing fruit, or any field use.

What separates a great hank from a square of cloth
Most hanks you’ll find online are printed bandanas. They look the part, but they don’t do the work. Here’s what to look for:
